Pure, unadulterated, natural caramel sweetness! Our palm sugar syrup is the base syrup from which the others derive; versatile, yet complex and rich. It’s so much more flavorful than simple syrups made with bleached white sugar; the unrefined palm sugar retains many of its natural nutrients, and even more importantly, all of those great natural flavors – caramel, vanilla and spice tones. It’s very similar to honey or maple syrup, so try it out in place of them in your coffee or tea, or your breakfast or desserts.

We make our Palm Sugar Rich Simple Syrup from the finest quality organic and fair-trade ingredients we can find. It starts with all-natural palm sugar, which is made from the nectar of various palm trees, is unrefined and completely natural, has a lower glycemic index, and is rich in nutrients and vitamins. We add a touch of organic citric acid, which helps to stabilize and preserve it, so that it won’t crystallize and it will last for a year or more. It's good for you- well, as good as sugar can be, but let's face it, we all need a little sweetness in our lives - and it's good for the world.

It’s Rich because we use twice the amount of sugar as in a standard simple syrup. What does this mean? Well to start, one bottle goes much further than a regular simple syrup. It also has a much deeper and more intense flavor from the palm sugar, which imparts rich molasses and caramel flavors instead of just sweetness.

What can you do with it? Anything you can imagine; it’s a tool to help unlock your culinary creativity. Use it anywhere you’d use honey or maple syrup, but as a starting point, here are some suggestions, and recipes can be found on our website:

• Cocktails
• Drizzled over ice cream, berries, or other fruit
• Drizzled over breakfast – waffles, pancakes, oatmeal, even bacon
• In coffee, tea, hot chocolate and smoothies
• Homemade soda
• Add some moxie to recipes for ice creams, custards, whipped creams, candies, cookies and cakes; replace corn syrup or honey with a Rich Simple Syrup

The not-so-fine print:
• Our syrups are vegan and gluten-free
• Some separation of syrup will occur, shake well before use
• Refrigerate after opening
• Minimum two year shelf life; under normal conditions, syrups will be fine long past that, but the flavor may degrade over time
